Earlier today the first Skyfall trailer was released and keeping witht the days Bond theme Activision have also released the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming 007: Legends which has been given the release date of October 16th however it is unsure as of yet if this is a global release date or just for the US. The trailer shows us footage from the Moonraker segement of the game based on the 1979 film of the same name and ends with teasing us that there are still 5 more missions to be revealed. 007 Legends will knit together elements from six of the movies including Skyfall into a new story arc the remaining four movies to be featured is still to be announced. For know you can see the first gameplay trailer below which is conviently placed after the Skyfall teaser trailer however if for some absurd reason you do no wish to see the Skyfall you can skip to 1:22. Enjoy (both).
As you may have seen from our post last week every pre-order of Hitman Absolution will come with a code giving you access to the Hitman Sniper Challenge, a short 15 minute standalone game which tasks you with elimintaing you target as quickly and efficiently as possible all from a vantage point armed with only a sniper rifle. Is it good enough however to justify commiting yourself to purchasing Hitman Absolution especially when it is still several months away ? The short answer is yes but I’ll assume you want to know why.
If your familiar with the Hitman franchise then you will know that simply completing a mission is not satisfying enough and you will find yourself replaying the same mission several times looking for more creative ways to eliminate your target whilst trying to achieve that Silent Assassin rating.
Eventhough this is just a small mini game rather than a demo of Absolution it still contains all the elements of a full game in the series and will have you retrying over and over again just like the full games. The game gives you several challenges to complete ranging from shooting several “collectibles” to hinting at more inconspicuous to dispatch your targets. Some challenges also task with you with taking a more gun-ho approach to scenario such as killing all 15 targets with a headshot or finishing the challenge if just over 2 minutes but of course neither of these are up to Agent 47′s high standards and will not award you with the highest ranking but will multiply your score at the end. Not only will replaying for higher scores shift ou further up the rankings on the leaderboards for those all important bragging rights but will also add to your overall score which will gradually unlock more and greater improved attachments which you are awarded with at the start of the game and will also carry over to Himan Absolution.
So with the chance to unlock items for Hitman Absolution and hours of replay value this pre-order bonus is worth every minute of your time and although it stands seperate from Hitman Absolution it could well have been taken straight from it as it looks and plays as good as any of Agent 47′s previous assignments from the series. Therefore if this is just a taster of what awaits in Abosolution then great things can be expected from the main game and will leave you in no doubt that you have made the right choice in pre-ordering.
Not a post about gaming news or a review this time but just a question for all of you. After the cancellation of Inside Xbox ,which for knows of you who don’t know was a series of videos discussing the latest gaming news and answering peoples questions, which seemed to be very unpopular decision with the Xbox community we come up with the idea of starting our own podcast series to contribute in filling the gap left behind. So heres our question to you.
If we where to create a podcast on a regular basis discussing all the latest in gaming from new releases to the latest rumours as well as our thoughts on the latest games would you A) be interested in listening to it and B) be willing to contribute any thoughts or submit any questions for answering for us to share in the podcast with the rest of our community ?
We would to hear you thoughts on this which will determine whether or not this goes ahead so as usual add your comments below or gives a mention on @XperienceGaming or on our Facebook page

After starting his mission five years I have finally reached the end of the epic Mass Effect trilogy and the end of German Shepard’s (yes that is my Shepard’s name) quest to stop the Reapers and save the galaxy so what better time to tell you what I thought of the last instalment on the trilogy.
Playing Mass Effect 3′s campaign is unlike playing any other it is a gripping and engrossing experience and not just a piece of light entertainment. From the opening scene until the very end Mass Effect 3 will play havoc with your emotions forcing you to make choices that could easily keep you awake at night and have contemplating whether or not you have made right choice and the impact it will now have which is something very few games and whether you like or not you can not take away the fact that the final decision on how to end your story will be one of the hardest you will have to make. It’s is through this amazing storytelling by Bioware that you become rather attached to each and every character from the ships medic Doctor Chakwas to Shepard’s romantic interest which for me was Kaidan (it was an an accidental choice, honestly) no matter there importance you care about your team unlike you have for any other AI in a game making some decisions even harder to make.
The incredible storytelling is also very well complemented by improved gameplay mechanics, the clumsy and inaccurate shooting of cover movements of previous instalments are gone replaced by precise flowing combat controls which are as good as those seen some of the best 3rd person shooters such as Gears of War. Thankfully the tedious and rather dull resource gathering from Mass Effect 2 is also no more although planets are still in need of scanning but this time it is a less dull affair and does not keep you away from the action for too long.
The graphics also remain at a high standard with cut-scenes looking exceptionally stunning if played on the higher resolutions however these could of been potentially improved by the addition of 3D which we have seen work so well in the likes of Crysis 2 and Batman Arkham City however it is absent from Mass Effect 3. The soundtrack remains as touching as ever playing at the right moments to aid the storytelling with tugging on those heart strings.
Mass Effect 3 also saw for the first time in the serious the addition of multilayer in the style of a horde type game mode seeing you and three allies fight against increasingly difficult enemies across ten waves. This at first is quite amusing and enjoyable but with it’s link to the single player not being completely essential and it only consisting of three enemy groups and around six maps after I a while I found myself not really having a reason to play it. The unlocking of equipment is also quite a random process which at times does not seem as rewarding as it should, you spend credits which you have earned on a mystery box of goodies however at times these can contain items of no use to you and your play style of course this does lead to elation when you finally unlock the character you where hoping for but the randomness of the unlock process means this could take an indefinite amount.
Overall with an incredible story and fast flowing gameplay Mass Effect 3 conclusion the epic plot will be a memorable experience that will see you playing it over and over again just to see how once small change in a decision will impact the rest of the story. The inclusion of an enjoyable multi player means this is almost a perfect game but with it lacking in some areas it’s a shame this is the last in the series meaning we may not see it improved on but if your a Mass Effect fan already then I know the multi player is not the reason you’ll be picking this up and if your not then now is the perfect time to jump in and play what is by far the best in the series.
