Ubisoft set to announce new free-to-play titles at Gamescom

Ubisoft have said that they are planning on announcing new free-to-play titles based on their most popular franchises at Gamescom in Germany next month.

The publisher are holding a press conference on the opening day of the Cologne based trade show, where they will supposedly discuss “plans in e-sports and other growing online game genres”.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot also said; “The total number of players and the resulting opportunities for our industry continue to multiply as new types of gaming take hold. After a successful E3, we’re looking forward to bringing a strong line-up to Gamescom so that customers can experience many of our hotly anticipated titles first hand.”

Some of the titles that will be available to play at Gamescom include Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed: Liberation, ZombiU and Far Cry 3. Gamescom organiser Koelnmesse said that it expects over 300 new products to be announced at the show, which takes place on August 15th through to August 19th 2012.

During Nintendo’s press conference at E3 2012 a trailer was shown with a montage of 23 of the upcoming WiiU titles featured. Compiled by yours truly, here is the list of all the currently announced (as of 8th June 2012) games that will be available on the WiiU at some point, launch or not.

Nintendo Land for the Wii U announced at Nintendo Press Conference 2012

During the Nintendo E3 press conference Nintendo land was announced and will arrive on the Wii U and will primarily use the the Wii U Gamepad. The Nintendo land is a theme park which has 12 attractions in which show off different types of gameplay in which is available and it will feature areas based on three big franchises in which are Animal Crossing Sweet Day, Luigi’s Mansion Ghost Mansion and Zelda Battle Quest.

Nintendo Land will make use of Miiverse for multiplayer and the multiplayer will allow the Wiimotes used with the GamePad.

Wii U Fit with new peripheral at Nintendo E3 Press Conference 2012

Wii Fit U has been announced during the Nintendo’s E3 Press Conference and will offer a range of ways to keep fit. The game uses the Balance Board like previously with the old Wii however, this can be combined with the new Wii U GamePad to create new workouts.

Scribblenauts announced at Nintendo E3 Press Conference

Jeremiah came on stage at the Nintendo Press Conference at E3 and announced that Scribblenauts unlimited would be coming to the Wii U and 3DS. There is now a multiplayer mode. “Scribblenauts unlimited Imagine anything and explore everything”

Scribblenauts Unlimited offers a new gameplay that allows you to combine words. Nintendo will release more details on Scribblenauts Unlimited tomorrow during a special 3DS only E3 presentation.

Xbox reveals ‘South Park: The Stick of Truth’ launches 5th March 2013

At the E3 press conference today Microsoft showed footage from THQ’s upcoming South Park game. The press conference confirmed that the game is called South Park: The Stick of Truth. Creators of South Park Matt Stone and Trey Parker said they have been working close with Obsidian for nearly two years for this project.

The trailer showed buildings being destroyed and was referred to “vampires and hippies” and a new kid who moves to South Park was introduced.

There are characters shown the trailer including Butters and Jesus and also, you are able to create your own custom character.

The game will be released in 2013.

E3 2012: Dance Central 3 Revealed!

At the Microsoft’s E3 press conference it was announced that there will be a Dance Central 3 and that it will be the next dancing title in Harmonix’s dancing franchise. Usher stated that he worked on the dance routines for Dance Central 3 and then Usher performed and danced over the Microsoft’s stage.

Through a press release it was brought to attention that Dance Central 3 would feature an all new multiplayer mode of eight players. There is an eight player Crew Throwdown mode which allows two teams of four to battle out in dance fights. The dancing  within the actual game will be supported through the Kinect and you are able to import songs from other Dance Central games. Also, there would be 40 tracks which would include acts like Usher, 50 Cent, Gloria Gaynor and many more. The game will have a mode which will allow you to be able to create your own dance routines.
