Nintendo have confirmed that the latest Pokemon titles will arrive in Europe on October 12th. This is following shortly after the North American release date of October 7th. The eShop title Pokemon Dream Radar will also become available on the same day.
Pokemon Black and White 2 released in Japan earlier this month and sold a combined total of over 1.5 million units. The sequels to Black and White are still set in the Unova region and take place two years after the original events.
Nintendo have announced that their new spin-off Pokemon Conquest will be released for DS on July 26th in the UK.
The Tecmo Koei developed title contains 200 different breeds of Pokemon, a brand new region entitled Ransei and 17 kingdoms. The game can also expect higher sales after the recent Japan launch of Pokemon Black and White 2, which saw the 3rd best opening for any game on the Nintendo DS platform in Japan, selling 1.6 million copies in two days.
Pokemon Black and White 2 releases in Autumn 2012 in Europe.
Today is the official release of Pokemon Black And White 2 in Japan, and with Nintendo very recently announcing their new 3DS XL console and the release of the highly anticipated WiiU coming up, the games they will provide for these devices are currently in the spotlight. Two days ago, Nintendo’s official YouTube posted a new trailer for their new DS title ‘Pokemon Black and White 2′. The trailer gives a short tour of the Unovia region and Aspertia City as well as featuring a teaser for the battle with new gym leader Roxie. Check the trailer out below, and if you’re a Pokemon fan, let us know your thoughts!
The currently expected European and North American release for the games is Q3 2012.
Nintendo have announced that in addition to the WiiU releasing at the end of this year, the new 3DS XL console will be hitting shelves shortly. With a European release date of July 28, the console is a little over a month from release and with a 46 percent increase in size, will they get an increase in profit?
The console will be released in white, red and black, and silver and black colour variants. The North American date is August 19 and will come in blue and red variants. The 3DS XL features larger screens, a bigger body, and longer battery life, along with a larger SD card. The console will last on its battery for between 3.5 and 6.5 hours while running 3DS software but can last up to 10 hours whilst running games on the device.
No UK/Europe pricing is available yet, but the North American version will sell for $199.99 and the Japanese version for 18,900 yen ($235).
Nintendo plan on releasing the ‘majority’ of its retail 3DS games digitally, but we also now know that they plan to release third-party games on the eShop too. NOA president Reggie Fils-Aime said the following during an investor presentation at E3:
“We’ve got a massive list of AAA content on the way from all of the biggest names in gaming,” Fils-Aime said, “that are all proven franchises, all exclusive to our platform, and all coming to stores both in physical and digital formats in the second half of 2012.” Accompanying this statement is a slide featuring confirmed eShop/retail releases New Super Mario Bros. 2, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and Paper Mario: Sticker Star, along with third-party games Kingdom Hearts 3D, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, Scribblenauts Unlimited, and Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion.
Allegedly, leaked scans of Nintendo Gamer magazine have revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will launch on the WiiU this November.
We currently have no official release date or any word on whether it will have gamepad integration with Nintendo’s upcoming console. However, with Nintendo announcing that they wish to launch before Christmas 2012 and the revelation of the possible release date from a Ubisoft employee earlier at E3 last week we assume the release date to be November.
A screenshot comparison of Nintendo’s new WiiU and Sony’s PlayStation 3 has surfaced recently. It shows two almost identical screenshots from Batman: Arkham City and compares the graphical quality of the two consoles. This comes after Nintendo claimed that their new console is more powerful than the 6 year old PS3. We do have a specification list for the WiiU, but nothing has been confirmed by Nintendo.
Take a look at the screenshot below and let us know in the comments on what you think, is the WiiU better looking or does the older console still look good?
