Insomnanic have announced Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be a tower defence game.
It will feature the classic third-person camera, controls and weapon variety of the early Ratchet & Clank titles, and blend it with modern tower defence mechanics.
Players will control Ratchet, Clank or Captain Qwark as they fight waves of enemies across three planets and five levels. There will be powerful and wacky weapons in which the series is known for and players can build a variety of turrets to add an element of strategy.
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will offer both splitscreen and co-operative online multiplayer modes, which will be detailed more closer to the game’s release.
Sony recently released The Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy on PlayStation 3 for Europe, and will release it August 28 in North America under the name Ratchet & Clank Collection. The North American release will also include a demo for the upcoming game Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
The new game will be released under the title Full Frontal Assault in North America, it will be called Ratchet & Clank: QForce when it is released across Europe.
The European version will also differ by releasing both as a download on PSN and as a retail game on Blu-ray disc. The North American version will be available exclusively as a downloadable title.
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be available in both North America and Europe this autumn.
